Carmine DiPaolo chose Indiantown as his permanent home after serving 29 years in law enforcement, 28 of which were with the Martin County Sheriff’s Department. A retired sergeant, he spent nearly his entire career assigned to protecting the safety of Indiantown residents.
In 1996, he made statewide headlines when he rescued a missing 6-year-old Tampa boy after spotting a suspicious pair along SR 710 west of Indiantown. Acting on instinct, he turned his patrol car around and discovered the man was a fugitive with warrants for child molestation and kidnapping. The boy was returned safely to his mother that night.
Carmine won his seat on the Indiantown Village Council in August 2022. He represents Indiantown on the Martin County Business Development Board, serves as Vice Chair of the MPO, and chairs the Local Board for Transportation Disadvantaged. He is a commercially certified helicopter pilot, an entrepreneur, and a proud father and grandfather.
